What auto insurance company will give me a good price after lapsing insurance?

Question by Michelle: What auto insurance company will give me a good price after lapsing insurance?
I had geico and my insurance lapsed. Everyone wants so much money now since i lapsed previously. Ive tried all the major companies. Does anyvody know of a cheap insurance that i can look into? Right now everyone wants around 7-800$ for 4 cars liability. Rediculous.

  1. You let your insurance lapse. That makes you high-risk and you don't get the "good price" on your insurance.

  2. If you are in Michigan, I will be happy to see what I can do to help you out. Most insurance companies do penalize you for having a lapse in coverage. This fee that is added on comes off in 6 months here in Michigan. Also you are charged different fees depending on how long you have lapsed. If your lapse is under 30 days, your fee will not be as high as if you lapsed for greater than 30. All companies charge different rates, so it pays to shop. I am an independent agent here in Michigan and will be happy to see what I can do if you reside here. Visit my website for more info. www.roninsureme.com

  3. No question here... The best company that saved me a lot of money on auto insurance is Allstate. Just call them and speak with representative. Here is the customer service phone number: 866-945-3856

    Wish you luck!

  4. I found that Erie Insurance was a great price. My auto & renters policy was about $ 55 a month total and that was after a 10 year suspension. Btw no I don't work for them, I actually work at Allstate :)
